The groomsmen are the brothers, cousins and friends of the groom, who are simply that squad of young men who are present in every wedding giving support – moral and material – to their brother, the groom, who is soon going to get sacrificed in the alter of conjugal bliss! Jokes apart, the groomsmen are the heart of the wedding – they are a bunch of energetic young men who are there for all kinds of help! So, their fashion game too needs to be top notch!

We suggest that the groomsmen chuck out heavy embellishments and go for attires that are sleek, trendy, light, comfortable and completely ethnic. Nowadays, the groomsmen also co-ordinate and wear clothes that match. This looks great on camera and also establishes a bro-code and a sense of unity! It is after all their ‘yaar ki shaadi’.

Groomsmen can go for variations of the sherwani or the kurta-jacket look! You can opt for innovative bottom wear! A knee-length kurta paired with tapered trousers or churidar bottoms go a long way. You can add an ethnic waistcoat or jacket to the look to make it even more stylish. We have included jackets and waistcoats with ornate embroidery, embellished buttons, high-low hemline etc! Over a kurta-trouser in a neutral tone like beige, cream etc we have added jackets in slightly brighter shades to create a subtle contrast. These outfits in pastel tones like pale blue or dusty rose pink look really good on groomsmen!

In case of most groomsmen outfits below, we have kept the glitter away! So you will be seeing more thread work, embroidery in self color and neutral tones rather than the use of sequin, stone or zari work! Floral embroidery in pastel shades, chikankari style self-tone embroidery etc look appropriate on such outfits.

The groom can’t wear black on his wedding day but the groomsmen can definitely go for characteristic colors like black, charcoal, grey, slate etc. A bit of thread work or a cowl or shawl attachment and you are sure to turn heads!

You can get any of these looks customized or improvised for you! Coordinated fashion between the groom and his clan looks really cool and GetEthnic can help your whole group to do so! Just get in touch with us with your preferences! Remember, the bridesmaids keep a look out for you guys!
